PDAC 2026: shaping the future of global mining

Preparations are underway for the highly anticipated 2026 annual convention of the Prospectors & Developers Association of Canada (PDAC). Scheduled to take place from March 1 to 4, 2026, this flagship event remains a cornerstone of excellence in mineral exploration and mining. At present, the industry is undergoing rapid technological evolution along with market uncertainty. There’s also an increasing requirement for critical minerals. Henceforth, the occasion in 2026 stands out in the arena of approaching the future of the industry through innovations.

Over the past nine plus decades, the event has become the ‘must-attend’ conference for geoscientists, investors, mines, technology developers, and policy-makers. Every year, the exhibition witnesses the participation of over 1,300 exhibitors and 700 presenters, and the registration of thousands of delegates from 125+ countries. Over the years, the event has also been renowned for the impact that it produces in terms of sharing ideas on the ‘strategy for the future of the mineral industry.’  The event belongs to the association that promotes Canada’s success in ‘responsible, sustainable, and innovative mining.’

PDAC 2026 presents an outstanding program developed specifically to highlight the most recent developments in the industry’s field. Delegates will enjoy cutting-edge exhibition presentations of the most advanced technologies available in the industry. Included in the technologies exhibited are exploration platforms utilizing the power of AI. Other technologies on display will be the future of geophysics equipment. Additionally, some of the topics for the discussion on the industry’s developments during the forum will involve the future of ‘critical minerals.’

Among the most eagerly awaited aspects of the event is the Investors Exchange. At the event, young exploration companies exhibit their most promising projects for the world’s financiers. This aspect of the event has in the past been the launch platform for many significant mining transactions. It also remains an indispensable platform for the enhancement of efficiency in the mining industry. At the same event, the Trade Show will feature the display of mining equipment and software developed to increase efficiency in the industry.

However, outside of the exhibit floor programming and panels, the significance of the PDAC 2026 also lies in the fact that it is a critical period for the mining industry. Notwithstanding the pace of the energy transition in countries all over the world, the demand for lithium, nickel, copper, cobalt, and the various rare-earth minerals continues to hit record highs. At the same time, the industry must respond to the challenge of producing more minerals within the framework of strict ESG standards.

The 2026 convention will be held in Toronto, continuing the tradition of bringing the world’s mining community together in one of the world’s most reputable resource development centers. Whether you are looking for investment capital, exploring opportunities for collaboration, discovering new technologies, or simply staying ahead of the curve in the industry, the 2026 PDAC Convention & Trade Show is one event you simply cannot afford to miss.

The count-down starts. It’s the perfect moment to think ahead to how you might participate and keep in touch for updates from PDAC. The future of the mining industry is being made today. That’s all coming together at the 2026 PDAC.
