Fast-track mine construction relies upon speed. Engineering, procurement, preparation of the site, civil construction, mechanical installation and electrical construction can occur simultaneously rather than sequentially. Include Construction Teams in the Design Review
The designers know the technical specifications. The field supervisor knows how it’s really going to be built.

Prior to the release of a major package, consult with those who are going to install it. The superintendent sees that there’s no crane access because of the proposed installation sequence. The piping supervisor sees that there’s no way to access the weld after the steel goes up. The electrical team sees a routing issue before the trays ever come out to the site.

It is crucial to verify any important dimensions through physical checking before connecting anything new to existing facilities. Laser scanning, surveying, photography, and physical measuring can all be employed.
