Qualifications & experience
- Trade qualified (mechanical or electrical) with a demonstrated understanding of the Submersible pumps market would be an advantage
- Minimum 5 years track record in the sales & marketing of pumps
- Have a solid network within the Western Australia mining industry
- Strong relationship building, communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills are essential for the role
- Well developed skills in new business development, sales and negotiation
- A road warrior who is fit & able to travel around Western Australia and remote sites on a regular basis consistently
- Competence using Microsoft Office suite and a CRM
- Hold a current Australian driver’s license
Tasks & responsibilities
- We are currently seeking a passionate and driven Business Development Manager to join our Australia team. Based in our northern suburbs Perth office and servicing mining & heavy industry clients in and around Perth but more importantly throughout the Mid West, Pilbara and Southern areas will be the key targets for this role.
- Reporting directly to the Australia Director in Brisbane. You will have the opportunity to use your exceptional customer skills to develop relationships with new and existing clients enabling you to work with them and achieve common goals
- Developing new opportunities, meeting KPI’s and Sales Targets and aligning with Goodwin strategic plans. Previous experience within the Western Australia mining industry, a proven sales background, the ability to read and interpret process flow sheets and pump curves is a must.
- The key responsibilities of the role will include:
- Having a hunter attitude to generate opportunities for new business growth
- Prospecting to grow sales in the Mid West, Northern & Southern WA regions
- Maintain regular and efficient F2F visits with customers in your areas
- Have technical competence to assess pumping applications & duties
- Troubleshoot, size, and select pumps & pumping accessories for clients
- Prepare quotes in accordance with company sales and pricing policy
