To my eye it seems the timing was designed so to move the blast forward, instead of diagonally, what could reduce the rock fly by creating a free face towards which the energy could flow, away from the main bench face.

I am a final year mining engineering student about to carry out on my project work. I am actually working on a topic related to drill patterns and their impact on ground fragmentation- a case study. Through out the Qualitative analysis I got to understand the mine uses the Burn cut drilling pattern. is anyone here who has ever come across that drill pattern mentioned?
