The GSM-16 is a pinnacle of innovation that allows mapping of voids from up to 900 meters down drillholes. At Geosight, we pride ourselves in building highly robust equipment that withstands harsh mining environment. The scanner is equipped with lights, wide angle camera and active solid-state LIDAR to scan voids. Breakthrough proximity sensors ALERT the user to prevent from deploying the scanner too far into the void, and 4 MEMS gyroscopes capture constant positioning and map the drill hole. Communication cable with internal Kevlar tugger on an electric winch deploys and retracts the scanner with the push of a switch. A single 360 degree scan can be completed in 4.5 minutes and increased time for higher density scans.
