The Prospectors & Developers Association of Canada (PDAC) is the leading voice of the mineral exploration and development community, an industry that employs more than 711,000 individuals, and contributed $159 billion to Canada’s GDP in 2023 according to Natural Resources Canada. Currently representing over 8,200 members around the world, PDAC’s work centers on supporting a competitive, responsible, and sustainable mineral sector.
The work of the association is carried out by a 24-member Board of Directors, 16 committees and a team of permanent staff. In 2023, the Board of Directors approved a five-year strategic plan for PDAC. While adding a greater focus on sustainability and environmental stewardship, as well as inclusion and diversity.
