Watergel’s low water content makes it a greater energy explosive product than emulsion-based ones. crosslinked and mechanically sensitised on the spot for usage in harsh and dynamic conditions (such as those with a lot of fractures or water).
Cup density and stemming height can be accurately controlled using mechanical gassing, which enables quality control prior to product distribution.
Watergel explosives are formulated to be highly water-resistant, making them ideal for use in wet boreholes or environments where water seepage is a concern. The thickened, continuous aqueous phase prevents water from diluting or deactivating the explosive, ensuring reliable detonation even in challenging conditions.
Unlike ANFO (Ammonium Nitrate Fuel Oil), which loses effectiveness in wet conditions, watergels retain their explosive properties and can even outperform other explosives in water-filled or damp boreholes.
