I am a Geotechnical Engineer in Training with a focus on cemented paste backfill (CPB), tailings systems, and underground mining applications.
My work sits at the intersection of geomechanics, materials behavior, and mine waste management, where engineering decisions directly influence stability, safety, and long-term environmental performance.
Through my MSc research in Civil Engineering, I investigate the fracture behavior and post-peak performance of fibre-reinforced cemented paste backfill under varying curing conditions and chemical exposures. This includes generating and interpreting load–displacement responses to understand ductility, crack propagation, and failure mechanisms relevant to stope stability.
Beyond research, I bring experience in water and wastewater systems, providing a broader systems-level perspective on tailings, pore-water interactions, and environmental considerations in mining operations. I also have a strong background in teaching and technical instruction, which has sharpened my ability to communicate complex engineering concepts clearly and effectively across diverse audiences.
I am particularly interested in roles involving:
• Underground backfill design and performance
• Tailings management and mine waste systems
• Geotechnical analysis for mining operations
• Project Risk Management
My goal is simple: contribute to safer, more efficient, and more sustainable mining projects through applied geotechnical engineering.
