Annular Diverters are safe and simple-to-operate devices for managing unwanted water flow during drilling. The Annular Diverter is installed at the top of the borehole and is operated with a hand pump. The inward-inflating elements inside the diverter form a seal around the rods in the annular space, diverting fluid away from the drill site. Alternatively, instead of diverting, the driller can shut the flow using a ball valve while changing the drilling fluids to regulate borehole pressure.
